A few years ago, a client commissioned us a video to promote Cuba’s candidacy as an enclave of a Formula E race. This automotive competition uses fully electric single-seaters and gradually consolidated itself within the global motor racing scene.
Another peculiarity of this championship is that the circuits are urban. The promoter of the Championship gives priority to the skyline of the cities he visits. This competition visits the main cities in the world. This practice is also a good formula to bring the championship and sport closer to the inhabitants of a city without them having to travel to the circuits.
The application by the Cuban development team to host Formula E did not materialize and any possibility of linking the emerging championship to the Atlantic Island was ruled out.
Another island, in this case, in the Mediterranean Sea, and with great possibilities of hosting this championship is Mallorca. Its unbeatable air and sea connections with Europe and its great hotel and infrastructure, make the city of Palma and its promenade a very attractive place for the organizers of the Championship.
Will we have Formula E in a Spanish city?
